Bring your own table(s), chairs and canopy if you wish to be protected from the sun (we prefer to no entertain the possibility of rain 😊).
Be sure to bring your own lunch, as meals are not provided or available. There is no refrigeration or kitchen available. There will be a food truck on site if you choose to partake in that.
Try to offer a variety of reasonably prized items (knitted/crocheted, outdoor camping aids, jewelry, recycled/upcycled items, soaps, candles, food (keep the temp in mind!) – there are oodles of ideas on-line or on Pinterest). Each year we are amazed -- and impressed -- with how creative and productive everyone is!
The Committee recommends pricing items no more than $15 and in whole dollar increments (aka not $2.50)
While the primary purpose of the Boutique is for troops to earn money, many leaders will be looking for ideas of things to make with their own troops. Leaders will be told that they are NOT to simply take pictures – if they are interested in an item, they should purchase one to take with them.
Be sure the Girl Scouts are prepared to explain what they are raising money for – we are all interested and want to be supportive! Consider bringing an eye-catching poster with your goals on it.
NOTE: ALL items for sale must be made BY THE GIRL SCOUTS or donated by other crafters, with ALL proceeds going to the Troop/Juliette
Please do not make any items that would be inappropriate for all Girl Scouts (i.e., anything with alcohol cigarette packaging or images, etc., or anything political in nature).
