2025 Lakamaga Girl Scout Boutique Application

Is your Cadette, Senior, Ambassador Troop or Juliette looking for ways to earn money for travel or activities??

The Lakamaga Adult Education Conference Committee would once again like to offer interested troops the opportunity to sell their crafts to adult volunteers at the 2025 Lakamaga Conference!

The boutique will be held outdoors, rain or shine, on Saturday, August 16, 2025 along the path outside of the Annie Paper Dining Hall at Camp Lakamaga.

Applications must be submitted by August 4, 2025.

**Important Information**

At least one registered adult must accompany each group of youth (all Safety Wise standards must be followed and at least one adult must be present at all times.

All booths must have youth members in attendance.

Girl Scouts and Adults must remain in the vicinity of their booth while at camp.

All Boutique participants must handle their own sales and money. There will be no change available, so be sure to bring enough money/small change with you.

Should you choose to accept Venmo/Paypal, please be sure to read these responsibility guidelines.

Bring your own table(s), chairs and canopy if you wish to be protected from the sun (we prefer to no entertain the possibility of rain 😊).

Be sure to bring your own lunch, as meals are not provided or available. There is no refrigeration or kitchen available. There will be a food truck on site if you choose to partake in that.

Try to offer a variety of reasonably prized items (knitted/crocheted, outdoor camping aids, jewelry, recycled/upcycled items, soaps, candles, food (keep the temp in mind!) there are oodles of ideas on-line or on Pinterest). Each year we are amazed -- and impressed -- with how creative and productive everyone is!

The Committee recommends pricing items no more than $15 and in whole dollar increments (aka not $2.50)

While the primary purpose of the Boutique is for troops to earn money, many leaders will be looking for ideas of things to make with their own troops. Leaders will be told that they are NOT to simply take pictures if they are interested in an item, they should purchase one to take with them.

Be sure the Girl Scouts are prepared to explain what they are raising money for we are all interested and want to be supportive! Consider bringing an eye-catching poster with your goals on it.

NOTE: ALL items for sale must be made BY THE GIRL SCOUTS or donated by other crafters, with ALL proceeds going to the Troop/Juliette

Please do not make any items that would be inappropriate for all Girl Scouts (i.e., anything with alcohol cigarette packaging or images, etc., or anything political in nature).

Boutique Items

Please list the items you plan to make/sell and an estimate of what you expect to charge.

  • Avoid using vague descriptions such as "baked goods" or "crocheted item"

  • To help all booths be successful, if noticeable duplications are discovered on applications, the first group submitting an item for sale will be accepted, and subsequent applications with same/similar items will be notified and asked to modify or delete that item.

  • Boutique participants CAN sell food products that are appropriately packaged. An ingredient list must be readily available for customers or listed on the product due to food allergies.

  • Due to the rising cost of ingredients, the committee highly recommends you do a cost valuation on whether or not a homemade food product is the way to go.

  • Boutique participants CAN NOT sell pop or bottled water.

  • Absolutely NO open containers of food will be allowed (i.e., where multiple hands have access, such as a "make your own trail mix"

  • Think quality over quantity! It's not about how many items you have available but how unique they are!

The Committee reserves the right to pull anything that does not meet the guidelines.

If you're not sure what all your items will be, do your best and then let us know once you've made a a decision by emailing us at [email protected].
